Ron Bloom
Ron Bloom is a General Partner with Commonweal Ventures. Ron is a seasoned private equity executive who has worked for the past seven years as a Managing Partner at Brookfield in their Private Equity Group. Ron previously served on the Board of Governors of the US Postal Service from 2019-21 and served as the Board Chair during his final year of service. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2016, Ron was Vice Chairman, US Investment Banking, at Lazard, focused on restructurings, mergers, and acquisitions. He previously served as Assistant to the President for Manufacturing Policy in the Obama White House, where he provided leadership on policy development and strategic planning for the Administration’s agenda to revitalize the manufacturing sector. Before joining the White House, Ron served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury, where he helped lead the restructuring of the auto industry. Ron holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
