
Nate Levine
OpenGov co-founder Nate Levine is a decorated researcher and government transparency thought leader. Serving as director of strategic accounts, Levine has helped grow OpenGov to nearly 500 customers in 43 states. OpenGov is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, 8VC, Thrive Capital, and many others.
Prior to OpenGov, Levine co-founded and served as president of California Common Sense (CCS), a non-profit think tank dedicated to opening government to the public, developing data-driven policy analysis, and educating citizens about how their governments work. At CCS, Levine established California’s first-ever data transparency portal and built a brand of research excellence.
Levine studied engineering at Stanford University where he also worked for the Political Science Department researching and analyzing militarized conflicts. A Bay Area native, Levine has also been active in his community and served as a cadet commander for the local police department.
