Jason Haider
Jason Haider is the founder and CEO of Xenco Medical, a pioneering medical device company that has engineered and commercialized the first entirely disposable spinal implant system made from a reinforced composite polymer instead of metal.
Xenco Medical also innovates breakthrough enabling technologies including the first glasses-free holographic surgical simulation platform. Under Haider’s leadership, Xenco Medical has introduced a new category of surgical implant systems with its sterile-packaged spinal implants pre-attached to disposable, composite polymer delivery instruments. Outperforming reused implant systems in consistency, the risk of pathogen transmission, and in eliminating the expensive processes associated with the sterilization and transport of reprocessed instruments and implants, Xenco Medical’s surgical devices have been found to significantly lower healthcare facility costs while mitigating surgical site infection risks.
Haider has also amplified the company’s impact in specialized surgical markets through the company's wifi-enabled surgical vending machines for real-time monitoring of Xenco Medical’s surgical implant inventory. In recognition of its breakthrough technologies, Fast Company Magazine named Xenco Medical one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies in its prestigious 2023 list. In 2022, the World Economic Forum named Xenco Medical the winner of the New Champions Award for Excellence in Sustainable Growth. The San Diego Business Journal named Haider one of the Top 50 Life Science Leaders in San Diego in 2023 and 2022 and one of the 500 most influential people in San Diego in 2021.
He currently serves on the board of directors of the California Workforce Development Board, the World Economic Forum’s New Champions Advisory Board, the Fast Company Impact Council, and the MIT Center for Information Systems Research Data Research Advisory Board.
